Summary, Etc.
  • Summary, etc - It is the manuscript of the divorce proceedings of Dona Maria Mutia Metiene, a lady who belonged to the upper class, and Don Bernardino Di Mabasa, a drunken, wife-beating soldier. It bears the signature of both parties written in the Visayan Baybayin (old alphabet). Aside from being one of the few documents that has a record of the Visayan Baybayin, it supports the theory that there is little difference between the Baybayin used in the Tagalog region compared to the Visayan region.
