| Summary, Etc. |
- Summary, etc - "This catalog covers only the ecclesiastical objects from the collection, complemented by the [University of San Carlos] museum's own pieces... But in and of itself, this part of Mrs. Arcenas' collection already represents a bygone era, when very few cared to keep mementos or handumanan of the past for future generations to ponder upon. It is now virtually impossible to gather the many representative pieces covering the entire gamut of religious sculpture in one setting that one finds in this collection. Without doubt there are still a few antique religious images still extant in some of the surviving colonial churches as well as ancestral houses in the Visayas. But to find a collection covering the 18th to the early 20th centuries under a single roof is well nigh impossible. And to be able to see the same is doubly improbable." - from the Foreword
