We are happy to announce that we won at this year’s Leading Culture Destinations Awards (LCDA) in London! Ayala Museum was awarded the Soft Power Destination Best Activation Award for our exhibition Bursting at the Seams: Philippine Detention Centers (Photographs by Rick Rocamora) — a first for the Philippines! The LCDA was organized five years ago by London-based philanthropist Florian Wupperfeld and is considered “the Oscars of museums.” Bursting at the Seams elicited various reactions through the Freedom Wall component of the exhibition.
