Pamanang Pilipino: The Path to Neo-Ethnic Choreography
with National Artist for Dance Agnes Locsin
June 11, 2026 (Thursday), 4:00–6:00 PM

Pamanang Pilipino turns the spotlight on dance!

Join National Artist for Dance Agnes Locsin as she traces The Path to Neo-Ethnic Choreography — from her early exposure to Filipino dance traditions and formal training to the artistic process behind her distinct movement language. She will also share stories behind key works Igorot, Bagobo, and Moslem, and her latest exploration into Neo-Ethnic Tap Dance.

Pamanang Pilipino is a revitalized heritage education series rooted in the collections of Ayala Museum and Filipinas Heritage Library (FHL). It highlights how cultural inheritance continues to shape Filipino identity and offers new ways of understanding our evolving heritage.

This event is made possible with the support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts through the Order of the National Artist program.
